Baby E Preview

I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy a few days ago. He is so tiny and sweet. Mommy and daddy just adore him - and honestly, I did too. Here is a sneak-peek of him.

52.11

My sister left me. Her husband is in the military and they are now stationed overseas, so she left me. I have a big problem with that for a lot of reasons. One of them being she is my hair stylist. She started cutting my hair when she was just 9 years old...and nobody else has cut my hair since. And nobody besides her has ever cut the hair of my children, either. But my sister won't be back for 3 years...and while *I* might be able to just grow my hair out, I don't think my little dude can do that for 3 years. So I had to have somebody else cut his hair. I found a cute litte 'old fashioned' barber shop in town, so I took B there. The owner was so sweet and did so well with him. I guess we will survive without my sister for a litte bit.

52.7, 52.8, 52.9, 52.10

I am really bad about updating my blog. I appologize for that.
So I guess I have missed the last 3 weeks, plus now this weeks post...that makes 4 weeks of my 52 project I need to update you on. Eeek!

52.7: My daughter at swim lessons. What is even better than her swimming so well is that I know her swim coach because I used to teach her when she was little!

52.8: Girl Scout cookie time! We spent a bunch of time sorting out those 137 boxes of cookies.

52.9: Snuggles with Daddy. These are some of my favorite memories.

52.10: Today was the last game of the season for my daughter's basketball team. She has improved SOOO much over the season, but had yet to make a basket. The ref was so sweet, and decided to help her out. She can now say she is the only one to make a slam dunk!

I promise to try to be better at posting. Hopefully as spring is approaching I will feel more motivated to share all the beautiful photos.

52.6

I realized I forgot to post a 52 week project last week, so I am posting a double picture this week.

Both of the kids in school. Little dude is in a mommy & me preschool class once a week. They were painting tire tracks with trucks, which he LOVED. We may need to try it at home, too!
I help in my princess's class every week, too. They were getting ready to practice their spelling words. She always seems so serious in class.

Week 4
She has been picking her own outfits from her closet. She must be ready for warmer weather, since she keeps picking summer dresses, but needs to wear long sleeves & pants since we do live in Wisconsin. I caught her spinning in circles around the kitchen, dancing. I love innocent moments like this.

52.3

I know this is not the most 'artistic' shot, but it makes my heart swell. I love knowing how much my babies love to be together. I tucked them into bed in their own beds and when I went to check on them before I went to sleep - they were snuggled together. This is a common occurance around here. But I know it won't last forever, so I wanted to capture the memory while I still can.

52 Project: Week 2

We were finally getting some snow this week. Ben's preschool class made some pinecone bird feeders to hang on the tree out front then got to play with shovels in the snow.

52.1

Week 1 of my 52 Project.

I love taking a few minutes every night to snuggle with my babies before tucking them into bed. I know they are not going to want to rock with their mama forever, so no matter what kind of day it has been, I try to relish a peaceful moment.

52 Week Project

Happy New Year! Today is a fresh start, the beginning of a new year. A year filled with hopes, dreams, and goals. Part of my New Years Goals is to complete a 52 Week Project.

A 52 Week Project is this:
"Challenge your artistic skills and commitment to your craft and walk away with a year worth of memories and an experience that will last a lifetime. Take a photo a week of your every-day life and post it. One photo a week for a whole year."

All too often I am busy taking pictures of everybody else and do not take the time to snap some of my own kids. This will be a wonderful way to capture those little moments that may otherwise be missed and forgotten. Nothing fancy, nothing posed, not a planned & thought-out moment. Just life as it happens. At the end I will put them together into a book for my kids.

My week will go from the Saturday through Friday. Then I will post that week's photo the next morning. So look for a new picture every Saturday this year!

What are your New Years Goals for 2011? Share them with me!
