1st Birthday

Today I got to go play with little J. He is celebrating his first Birthday and I can't believe how big he is getting! Last year at this time we were taking his newborn photos!
He is such a fun little guy, though. Full of stories to tell and so busy with games to play. Happy Birthday J!

Today I met with a really fun family. Their little girl was having so much fun twirling around and dancing out in the fields. It was watching those moments of innocence you never want them to forget.

Gift of Giving - Winner

Thank-you to everybody who submitted an entry to the Gift of Giving giveaway! There are a lot of awesome people out there who could use some smiles. It made it really hard to choose - so I had to randomly select the winner.

Congratulations to Nikki, submitted by Jasmine! She is a mom to 3 little ones and a military wife facing some tough decisions soon. I hope that some photos will give her a reason to keep smiling.

Today I met with an awesome family for a fall session. We were racing the raindrops to get the photos done, but everybody was a trooper. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

The gift of giving

I know it is early to start thinking about your Holiday shopping, but it is never too early to give a gift. Especially the gift of memories.

This week, I have a challenge for you: think of somebody who needs a special hug. A little pick me up, an extra smile, to know they are being thought of. Then send me an email telling me about them & why they might benefit from a free photography session.

On September 24th, I will select one of the submissions and give them a free session with $100 in free prints. A great way to make them smile – and I will capture it for them.

And for everybody who submits an entry, you will receive an extra $25 in prints on your next session this fall or spring. If you give, you shall receive as well. A gift for giving.

So think of your friends or family and give them an early holiday gift. Emails must be received by me no later than 11:59pm CST on September 23, 2011.
